My Room, My Dance, My Meditation
Saturday, September 17, 2011
Hello Readers, Since the very day I received my bluetooth earphones from Jaybird, I knew I'm running the world on my own in my room. You see, a few years back, in my school days, I have had my own stint in dancing classes, though it wasn't much for experts, I just wanted the foundation and move on to be an expert on my own accord from my own creativity, without the honors of dance certificates or prestigious dance schools etc etc. A year and a half ago, I picked up hooping after being influenced by friends and seeing them doing fire movements with their fire toys set ablazed. I was in awe, especially from an asian lady doing fire hoola-hoops. I thought that was amazing. Now making use of my flexible and scrawny body, not only I hoop but I dance to the many DJs that party goers would go hand-in-hand with drugs and alcohol to escalate them to a realm within their subconscious or to just escape from their daily grind. Dancing is not what I am endorsing myself to do but I do dream and visualize in trains and buses of how I'd be the opening act for a show with fire or over-the-top costume and entering like a mystical creature, entering the stage and expressing words in my head into a dance. A dance that scares yet embodies a soul. A dance that confuses yet it embodies humans. So here in my little room of seclusion, if I'm not working on my laptop, I'm dancing to a movement of peace.
