Slaves
Tuesday, September 1, 2009
"I freed a thousand slaves, I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves." - Harriet Tubman Harriet Tubman was a runaway slave from Maryland, and a key participant in the Abolitionist movement prior to the US Civil War. Her quote refers to her frustration in not being able to help slaves who were unwilling or unable to be helped; who just didn't realize the reality of their situation. Today, there are no longer slaves (in the US) in the physical sense of indentured servitude, but there are many people who have allowed themselves - through ignorance, fear or lack of self-awareness - to be shackled into a lifestyle that accepts scarcity and lack. A life that ignores their capacity to become more, to achieve abundance. But not you. You are mindful, you are self-aware. You reject scarcity, and seek abundance. You take the steps to become more, to realize excellence and achieve mastery. I'm sending you my best wishes for a great new month to recognize and seize new and wonderful opportunities!-Bob hanz was here at 6:21 PM
